A SECTION OF SIEMENS & HALSKE CABLE.

This cross section of old Power Cable mounted on a wonderful cast base is owned by a good friend of mine, and all my efforts to persuade him to part with it have been fruitless ! It is typical of three-phase power cables. It looks like the insulation immediately surrounding the conductors is paper, with gutta percha further out. Both center pictures show the handsome name-plate "SIEMENS & HALSKE". Mounted on a cast base that depicts cables with a "T" junction box that has "101 200" stamped on and what appears to be a four way junction with a bolt on cover. Also there are the initials "SH" on what may be a shield on the bottom left. Probably dates 1890 - 1910.
